It seems like I have commitment issues....

With my blog that is! I have been so busy with this yummy summer weather that I've seemed to neglect my sweet little blog...again! Oh well...Life is good, what can I say? Although I must say as much as I like being warm and not freezing cold, I like the weather much better when it's 70-82 degrees. I'm trying not to complain so much but really, this heat is for the birds! Anyway, we got two new kittens for the kids a couple of weeks ago. Now we have one that is about to go back to Mimi and Paw's house. Why? Well... It all started when we first got them. The girls picked out the names: Edward and Lily. They are/were super cute and sweet, everyone of the Fowler's thought so(even Micah will admit that Lily is a cool cat- this is saying a lot, believe me!) especially the Boy who decided to pick them up by their ears and their tails, oh yeah and by a hand full of fur. Poor cats. I am surprised they made it this long. Well earlier this week Edward disappeared when we went to Wal-mart. We saw him before we left and haven't seen him since. And the other major deciding factor in the removal of the felines is that I am allergic to them. I thought that I had outgrew this but I found out otherwise when I couldn't breathe out of my nose, my head was aching, and my eyes were red and watering. I was really afraid that my girls would be devastated over losing Edward and giving Lily back but surprisingly they are fine. My drama queens are fine. Amazing. Cowgirl Sweet Pea....

My little Sweet Pea has been four for well over a month and I'm finally getting pictures on here from her party. This year she is all about Jessie the Cowgirl from Toy Story. So, naturally, we had a cowgirl party. This is all she's talked about for about 6 months! She loves to have a party, it doesn't matter who it's for just as long as she's a part of it! And I must admit, that I LOVE planning their parties as much as they love to be at them. So here are some pictures from her Cowgirl day of fun! Enjoy!

Life...it's what happens between blogs!

Well it has been one busy month! So busy in fact that I have not blogged in that long. We have had Easter, a birthday party, and well life! I have lots of pictures to post and stories to tell. I'll start with my new hobby...saving money! That's a great hobby to have, huh? I think so. I have been a coupon clipping mad woman and it has saved me around $300.00 over the past month. Now what do you think about my new hobby!(hehehe!) I am so addicted, uh, I mean committed, yeah...committed to coupons that I have ran out of both my color and black ink in my printer. Now I am having withdrawals from printing coupons.(Just kidding, just kidding!) I've even got my girls helping me out. They'll see look mommy we found a coupon...YAY! Is this sad....maybe, maybe not? Anyway, with all this beautiful weather we have been having, we have been outside non stop since the first day the temperature reached 68 degrees! I love warm weather! The kids play so hard outside that they actually seem to sleep so much better. (You will hear no complaining from me!) I am so grateful for our big front porch with a gate this year. I open a window in the living room so I can hear them(if you know my children, then you know I only need one window open to hear them....once again my apologies to the Ulrey's who I am sure get a daily dose of at least on Fowler child screaming!) They stay contained in one space and then I can actually fold the laundry or cook or.....watch a show that doesn't involve Steve, Blue, Mickey, the yellow,blue,purple, or red wiggle! Let's face it laundry can wait while I catch up on my stories on Netflix...um educated shows about families who have issues concerning love, life, and laundry. You know,my life, in a nut shell. Life...it's what happens in between blogs!

Money Saving Mommy, Part 1.......

Oh how I love Wednesday's and Thursdays! Why you ask? Well let me just tell you! I love Wednesday because that's when the sales papers for the groceries stores come in the mail and I love Thursdays because I get to go to the store and buy the groceries! Crazy, huh? Someone actually LOVING to go grocery shopping, but I do, I absolutely love going and saving money! I have to admit that I use to HATE going to get groceries. This was, to me, worse than going to the dentist(and I hate the dentist!). I hated it until recently when I woke up one day and had 3 children, all under 4, and a budget to work with. I started thinking how are we going to do this? Enter the world of coupons and the Internet. I started to clip coupons on Sunday's and started using Google for ideas on how to help me save money. I came across several websites like: Southern Savers( http://www.southernsavers.com/) and Hip 2 Save(http://www.hip2save.com/) where they gave brilliant ideas and a break down of what was on sale where and how many coupons you could use to get the cheapest price possible! Jack-Pot!!! I started using a 3 ring binder to store my coupons, which has saved me time and so much money over the past 2 months. I also took the lead of a blog I follow called Trenches of Mommy hood(http://www.trenchesofmommyhood.blogspot.com/). She gave herself a budget of $75.00 for her family of 5. At first I thought that is impossible to buy groceries for 5 for only $75!! Then I thought, Challenge:EXCEPTED!!! So this week I planned out my menu, for the next week,(which I find very frugal, you'll save more money if you know what you need to buy opposed to just buying whatever you think you may need in the future.)by what was on sale. So 95% of the items I bought this week were on sale. I also went to the ATM and got out only $75.00 so that it would be easier for me to stay on budget. I combined coupons with items on sale and the result was: Groceries bought for a family of 5 for only $76.65!! I am very proud of myself! Only $1.65 over budget, and I had that in change in my wallet, so I still didn't have to use my debit card! Go me!;)


My Menu for the week of April 1:


-Pizza(homemade)


-Easter dinner(Ham,mac&cheese, dressing,deviled eggs,rolls)


-breakfast for dinner


-salsa(to take to my parents for our Easter get together, I already had the ingredients needed for this)
-leftovers

This is the rest of my groceries,except a bottle of vinegar that ended up in my mom's bag! I don't have any produce this week because I still have some left from last week.(So yes we do eat healthy food;)

My total grocery bill for this week was: $76.65.

I saved a total of 64.17!

I think I did a pretty good job of staying on budget! So until next week, I hope you have fun and save lots and lots of cash!:)

Sweet Pea is 4.......

I can't believe she's 4! I think I may cry! The first time I held her I realized how much God really loves his children. I am so happy I am her mommy and so happy that with her(and her sissy and brother)around she makes our life complete and to say the least NEVER boring! Happy Birthday Sweet Pea!

Nieces...

I love to blog. Sometimes there is, dare I say, bad things that I get on my soap box about but mostly there are great things that I love to blog about. And 9.5 times out of 10 it's has to do with my family. Well last night we had the pleasure of getting to visit with my nieces(Micah's brother Tony's girls)that we haven't seen in about seven years. And we had so much fun. Needless to say I have to brag on my three wonderful, beautiful, smart, sweet nieces! What kind of Aunt would I be if I didn't?;)

Nieces are:

Kind to their little cousins who like to drool on there cell phones(that they bought with their own money!)......
and are brave enough to carry around a 27 pound baby rhino.....

Nieces love to hold their squirmy little cousins and never complain once about it(while someone is taking pictures at bedtime,ahem,mommy,cough,cough)

And lovingly console the oldest who has big crocodile tears running down her face because she doesn't want them to leave...

And my nieces have the biggest smiles

to match the biggest hearts I have ever seen!!!

Yup my nieces are indeed wonderful!!!

Not Me Mondays.........

It's time for another fun filled edition of Not Me Monday!!! A time for all moms to confess,eh, not confess about being a little imperfect. So buckle up and enjoy the bumpy ride, I mean life!




This week I {did not} feed my children mini frozen pizzas for supper because I knew they would never even touch the food I made for me and my husband. I {would never} feed them processed food to avoid a major meltdown that I just {did not} want to deal with. Ha! I {did not} finally break down and go to the doctor because I thought my throat was out to kill me....slowly. I {did not} ask the doctor if I could get a shot and get it over with because I {did not} have much better things to do than sit in a doctors office and beg for shots! I am much better and I think the doctor is glad he only sees the crazy lady begging for quick relief shots, er, I mean me, once a year! I {did not} delight in a mommy day on Friday. A day where I went shopping, got my hair cut, and met a hot man for lunch all by myself.(Yes,{ I am} talking about that wonderful man I am married to!) I{did not} enjoy myself at all.( I actually did, enjoy myself, a whole lot!) I {am} extremely thankfully for such a wonderful mother who helped out with my circus act for the day. I truly {am} grateful (for real)! I {did not} finally mop my living room and kitchen floors on Friday afternoon, for the first time in, ahem...at least....cough...ahem..two weeks..cough,cough, cough. I {love} to mop and would {never} wait so long to mop my floors. Not me! And Never on a Monday and that's no lie!;)
