A Random Post on a not so random Tuesday...

I love fall. It feels as if good ole' Alabama may actually see true fall weather in September. I think the highest temp in the next 7 days is only going to be in the low 80s. I know people from Wisconsin are laughing at us saying, "That is so not fall!" But for me, it totally is!

Speaking of Wisconsin, my husband wants to move to Green Bay. Mostly, for the Packers. Ok, all for the Packers. He hates being cold and yet wants to move for the sake of football.  It is near the water and I do like football.... It also snows in winter. I like snow.  It would be fun to see them play a game.... hmmm....

So I was reading in Proverbs(16:31) yesterday. There is a verse that says silver hair is a crown of glory. My crown has started. I'm not sure to be vain and cry or embrace it fully.  It's only one silver hair. I think I have it pretty well hidden. It's not that bad.

My oldest daughter, Sweet Pea, told me she brushed her teeth with Clorox. I panicked. I never leave bleach where they can reach it. Ever. After her daddy and myself asked, "What!!??" with panicked looks on our faces, she explained it. "Well, that's what it said on the toothpaste." sigh of relief. "Sweet girl, you need to read a little slower because that says Colgate."

I now have added to my crown of glory.

My baby brother #2 is getting married. Yay! Congrats to Ryan and my future sister in law Colbie! I'm so happy for them!

My son keeps asking me when we are getting married. That sweet boy. I have to explain that I'm already married to Daddy. He says, "Ok! When are you going to marry me?" God love his sweet self.

I had to separate him and his sister last night. He was laying on her and hanging off the side of the couch. I can't explain it. He was defying gravity somehow.  I don't know how he wasn't falling off. So I picked them up and sat them on the couch. Maybe I used a little too much force because they {may have} bounced up and down when I let go. They laughed and said do it again!

Oh look, my glory crown is growing...yay....

We're going to the "liberry" today. The kids love to go. I do to. I wish I could go in there with a warm sweater, a cup of coffee, and just read for hours and hours. That would be nice. It's so quite and cool in there. I can't do it with the kids, obviously.  The librarian would be like, "Ma'am, you son is climbing up that very unstable bookshelf. Your girls are arguing over who gets the Fancy Nancy book and...oh look! The bookcases are toppling over like dominoes!" I would be like, " Who knew they actually did that?" Ha, Ha, Ha, ahem. Here is my library card, it was nice to know you. Have a happy life."

I should go inform my kids we are going. My son just walked by in a Superman T-shirt, Spiderman underwear, Buzz Lightyear house shoes, and three hats. Yes, three. He says he's going ice skating on the floor. Thank God we don't have bookcases in the living room.

Oh look, my glory crown is growing...again...
Now I may just cry.

Random Tuesday

It's Tuesday, again. Big shocker, right? Well there hasn't been a whole lot going on around here lately. You know just the normal....breaking up fights, not doing laundry, living life and loving it! So here's another random list that's well, not really random since I do it on most Tuesday's and it's always a list of random thoughts. Oh, wait, that's what makes it random, the fact that the list is different, not that it's on Tuesday's. OK, time to move on, past my air-headed moment! If you would like to join in on the random*It's random because the context is different not the fact that it's every Tuesday* fun join up over at Honey Bunches of "Oaks". She would love to have you!

  • Why do men lose weight faster than women? I mean, it's really ridiculous that I can try so hard for weeks and not lose anything and my husband looks at a salad and loses 15 pounds. What the what?!
  • We only have 7 weeks until we are in beautiful Mexico Beach, Florida. I can't wait to spend that time relaxing and doing close to nothing as possible. It will be fun with the kids this year because they are all older and are easier to keep up with. We are going to have so much fun!
  • It doesn't seem like May here in Alabama. The high yesterday and today have been around, 60 degrees! I love it! This must be what Spring feels like to people who don't live in the South. I can see why people love it so much now!
  • Our normal weather in Alabama, in May, is usually close to 90 degrees.
  • It was last week, for 3 days.
  • I let the kids get in the 3-ring blow up pool from the Dollar General( that my mamma got on sale at the end of summer last year!)
  • It was fun. I laid out in the sun (in hopes of getting a tan before we go to the beach, so I won't look like a lobster the second day we're there!)
  • It was nice, until my son decided to sit on my back in his wet swim trunks.
  • It was really cold.
  • He *and his sister's* thought it was hilarious! I did not!
  • Here's a list, for your entertainment and maybe your sanity (don't worry mom's you're not the only one!) of things I've caught myself saying that I never thought I would!
  • Out of the mouths of moms:
Please leave your clothes on. I know you're in water, but that doesn't mean you're in the bath tub
                and can be naked.

Boy, why do you have so many clothes on the front porch? Really, 3 pairs of underwear, 4 pairs of shorts and 1 T-shirt. This is not your personal laundry basket! It's the front porch for crying out loud!

No, you may not walk to Mimi's house and move in with her. And no you would not be able                    to  take your toys or bed with you.

Would you please get off my head! Please find another seat besides my head! Thank you!

No Sweet Pea, there is not a school bus to take you to home school! Well, even if you went          to  public school you would not be riding that crazy bus.  She drives like a bat out of ...um well  she  drives way to fast to be driving a school bus, that's for sure!

Why do my girls, always have to put their feet on me while I eat? It's not funny! Do you want stinky feet on you while you eat? Really, it's not that funny!

No, I don't want you to pull my finger. Yes, I am sure. Yes, you can ask daddy when he gets home. I'm sure he'll like that!

What? Why does your brother have a tail? He doesn't have a tail. Oh, you mean his...oh well, go ask your daddy! He know's the answer to one!

It's Tuesday, part 2

It's Tuesday and I am in the mood to do absolutely nothing except be lazy. I don't hate to admit it, I love being a stay at home mom. I have the luxury of being lazy every once in a while and read a book, blog, play in a kiddy pool with my kids, you know sit around eat Bon-Bon's  and watch my Soap's all day long...ha...ha...ha. You know the housewives, stay at home moms, homemakers, etc. don't  have a real "job", so why should they be busy attitude is really annoying. I'm raising my kids and trust me, that is more of job than a lot of people realize. So there is my first random thought of Tuesday. (If you would like to join in on some randomness join up at whitney @ Honey Bunches of Oaks) So let's get started on some more randomness!

  • I am slowly trying to cut sugar out of my diet. Some days it's easier said than done. I have brought it down to 1 cup of coffee in the morning and 1 glass of sweet tea a day. I once had a friend tell me,"Sweet tea is the wine of the south." And I do believe that is the truth. We drink sweet tea with everything, in the south, the way some people drink wine with everything. So here's to{ I'm raising my (water) glass} to less sugar and smaller pants in my future!;)
  • I had a marvelous Mother's Day. I got to spend the weekend with my husband and my babies. I got a beautiful plant called a Giant Crimson Mandevilla. It has a really pretty flower that grows on it, it's crimson and you know we like crimson around here.(Dare I say it so far from football season? Yes, I do Roll Tide!)
  • My 3 year just told me she is not a baby she is a kid. Good to know!
  • I made homemade chocolate chip cookies yesterday! Mom of the year award goes to....just kidding! I did use chocolate bunnies left over from Easter(that I got for $0.75 after Easter! Woot!) instead of chocolate chips. They were yummy!
  • My boy kept yelling," I want a chocolate bunny, I want a chocolate bunny!" Even after it was chopped up to little pieces.
  • He refused to eat a chocolate chip cookie until I called it a chocolate bunny cookie. Then said, " Mmmm, that's good."
  • My Sweet Pea, colored a cheap, paper plate for me yesterday. It ended up being an alien flower. It had at least 20 googly eyes.
  • I loved it!
  • My husband is making me a clothes line so I can be all "green" and stuff.
  • Actually it's because, I want to be cheap , frugal with my power bill. I mean, come on I do anywhere from 10-12 loads of laundry a week.
  • No I don't really know why I have so much laundry. I do have 5 people in the family. 4 beds. 5 daily baths. Well maybe that explains some of it.
  • Anyway, the point being, My husband is Awesome!
  • I love him.
  • The End.
  • :)
